Ten Crows BBQ in Soutd Lake Tahoe

Came here around 8pm two weekends ago and there was a live band, so we sat in their enclosed outdoor area, at first. I say at first because after 20+ minutes, nobody ever came to the table, the heaters were insufficient and we couldn’t hear each other. When we came back in and brought this to the attention of the bartender/manager, she gave us a dismissive comment and went back to what she was doing. We sat down in the main dining area and we finally got served a few minutes later. Service the rest of the time was rather inattentive. I tried to order the brisket but of course they had “sold out.” My friend already ordered pulled pork so i tried the pulled chicken which was absolute garbage. Sides were ok, except for the sidewinder beer batter fries which stunk. The only redeeming quality was the beer was ice cold and delicious. Overall, grossly overpriced given the quality. The reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor are way off base. I will not return here ever again.

Good wings...some slightly tough, but really good flavor. They make a great old fashioned and have WhistlePig on the shelf, so that's a nice plus.

$36 Full Rack of Ribs were pretty good, but there BBQ sauce was off. Vodka-lemonade tasted like ONLY juice...A little sub-par because of how pricey this small place was.

Fantastic place for football, drinks and bites. Great happy hour prices (hello $2 tall PBRs). Best wings - they're unreal. Great salads, loaded nachos, soups, chili, fries - we even ordered the okra.Great find and great place!

Everyone was very nice. The atmosphere was nice there. I'm not a fan of the BBQ that we had. Don't let me review be your deciding factor however.

One of the best BBQ sauces Ive ever tasted. Perfectly cooked meat. Top shelf service. Masterfully mixed drinks. An absolute treasure.

Probably the beat brisket I’ve had in a long time. The meat was very tender, extra fatty and salted perfectly; just amazing. Ribs were just okay but the pulled pork Mac-n-cheese was really good. Fun atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, live music, corn-hole and lounge chairs. Good menu selection with plenty to drink solid service and good atmosphere.

Not the nicest outdoor eating table right next to the trash, which was also carried two times pretty close alongside our table by an unmotivated employeeThe food came too quickly for being made fresh - supersmal portion of fries for 9!USD - incld black hairs. Pretty overprices as well - service was OK - but the food quality wise the worst so far on our 2 weeks California, Nevada trip. There is definetly a lot of potential for improving. We went afterwards across the street to the Baja Mexicana as we were still starving and got for a minimum of that price freshly prepared, good tasting food.

Came here on a busy Friday night. It was a 45 minute wait. But TOTALLY worth it! Amazing service our server was Nick. The food was very filling and delicious!

Great staff. "Loaded Fries" were best I've ever tasted. Plus good happy hour options and outdoor seating.

Omg, Loved it!!! I was not so happy to realize the next day I only got 2 meat plates and fries and macaroni and cheese my 3-year-old kid would not look at = $100. I will still go back, the food and Barbecue sauce was amazing!!! We are gonna try the chicken and sweet tea next time.

I get its covid times but I wasn't impressed at all. The 1/2 lb of tri tip strips was 4 dry strips with 2 pickle slices and chunks of onions. You have to go stand in line and order at the bar then take a seat and wait for the server to bring the food. They didn't ask if we wanted salt or any kind of sauce and never returned to check on us. I won't go back.

We’ve been to Ten Crows a few times. One of our handful go to restaurants in South Lake Tahoe. Love the wings, BBQ and sides. Vibe is great and bartender / jack of all traits Brandon mixes delicious cocktails and has awesome energy! Thank you!

Once again I'm at Lake Tahoe on a work trip, needed some grub immediately. Hopped on the interwebs and found this BBQ joint right down the street from where I was staying. Decided to walk over and I was greeted wholeheartedly by 2 gentleman. This made me feel welcomed and was directed to their take out area. Order 1/2 rack of spare ribs, some smoked wings, a salad and even got a drink while I waited. Food is great the ribs had good flavor, salad was great but the wings were super bomb!! Beautiful smoke flavor, not overcooked and yes baby that crispy crispy skin!!! Side sauces compliment well, I'll be back here again thanks service was great.

Exceptional food, very nice employees, regularly awesome atmosphere. They charge reasonable pricing and the food quality is very good. Keep up the good work.

Ribs were okay, but unfortunately they weren't fabulous. Well cooked, but no Smoky taste. Blue cheese salad dressing was from a jar. Vinegary taste. Service was excellent. Dining room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate.

The staff (especially the managers) are very personable and easy to talk to. The food is always amazing too!

This place was amazing. The food was superb, the service was excellent. I can't say enough good things. We had a great time, tried the ribs and tri-tip. The mac and cheese side was delicious. Portions are huge! The only thing that disappointed me was that I couldn't eat all my food. We walked from our hotel, ate some delicious food and had a few drinks (HH prices, woo) and people watched. Sat inside but there is a patio with live music and games. Gets really busy but I can see why. Will definitely be eating here again next time I find myself in South Tahoe.

Amazing service and great good at Ten Crows BBQ! The pulled pork really stands out of the pack. The mac&cheese on the other hand, on its own, was one of the worst I have ever tasted, so avoid that dish, or make sure you add a ton of stuff to it! Basically, it's more like mac&cream... But thankfully, after telling our waitress, she graciously remove one of the mac&cheese from the bill. And again, by adding some pulled pork to it, and some sauces, it was actually quite good.

Awsume atmosphere great live band,best in house wiskey,had a spectacular anniversary here,the waiter an waitress were really helpful in picking our whiskey.

The BBQ was just okay. I've had much better. It's decent for BBQ, but definitely nothing even close to great.

Overall great vibes with live music on the weekend. Even though we were in the covered outdoor seating area, the heater was on and it was very warm. Service was great too! Check-in in Yelp and got a FREE chicharron appetizer ($9 normally). I was surprised as it was one of the crispiest and freshest I've ever had, paired with a delicious garlic aoili (a little on the salty side).

Great St Louie smoked ribs. If you like your homemade mac and cheese don't bother with theirs.

Delicious food and excellent service! Eric and Rachel were fantastic! A bit loud though but that's expected, given that's sorta a sports bar.

Good service. Food was very good. We ordered loaded fries (wow), the brisket and turkey with mash, collard greens, beans and mac n cheese. Really enjoyed the hot cocktail cider as well.

Awesome BBQ! The ribs are a must! Live entertainment by Miranda Love. Ate dinner then relaxed by the fire pit to enjoy her fabulous voice!

On Wednesday 12/26/2018, after skiing for the whole day since 10 am to 4 pm, we were so hungry and walked up to this BBQ restaurant, and it actually turned out great. Since everywhere was so packed and all had to wait over 2 hours, we were able to get a outdoor table within an hour, which we were pretty happy with.We ordered a 2 lbs wings as of starter, 3 plates of BBQ Ribs, Salad with Fried Chicken.Both waitress and the hostess were really nice, and really fast on sending in our order and also have plates delivered.

Good sauces and service but the food was just so so and way over priced. Fries were way over cooked. 38 bucks for a couple sandwiches w/ fries and one soda. My husband did add cheese to his sandwich for another dollar but still. I wish I would've tried the sweet tea fried chicken instead. Probably won't be back unfortunately.

Food was okay but service was horribly slow. Would not go during happy hours weekends since they rarely stop by to help if you sit outside. We were there on a saturday around 3 PM and all the seats were taken inside so we went out to the outdoor area they have. Not all of the heaters were on, so it was still cold. They did have live musicians which is nice if you like a bit of music. The wait for things such as the water or menu were extremely long. Even waiting to pay the bill took so long. For someone visiting, we did not want to waste so much time on a meal. The pork rinks are free for checking in which were a good crunch. The pulled pork sandwich was also decent.

It was pretty basic but not bad. It's a little over priced for the quality. I had the fried chicken (Nashville Hot) and it wasn't spicy at all. It was nice and crispy and not overcooked like I've seen other reviews mention. But if you're looking for a low key place to eat some meat, it's not bad.

Excellent BBQ. Quick service and great flavor. Everything you want from BBQ. Parking is a little weird to figure out but it's totally worth it. Stop in and get yourself some good eats.

What a absolute great find! Probably THE best pulled pork I have ever had...and the Mac and cheese was too die for. We left stuffed! Highly recommend. If I had to complain about anything it would be we waited quite a while to get our bill but that wouldn't keep me from eating here. Ask for Bryan...very informative.

Definitely get the Mac and cheese! The burger was cooked to perfection. Also try their "Big Texan" drink, refreshing and packs a nice punch

$12 drinks that just taste like juice. Very disappointing. I had 4 margaritas and felt more sober after them then before. The food and service are good.

This place is Awesome there smoked wing and Brisket as well as peach whiskey cocktail goes well with smoked meat👍👍👍

Fantastic little hole in the Wall restaurant. I stumbled across it because all the other places had 1-2 hour wait. We are here in the ski season in a enclosed outdoor patio area with heaters. Food was fantastic, serving sizes were great, waitress Anna was right on point. Definitely will be back. The pulled pork sandwich was overloaded with a ton of meat. The wings we got the 2 lb and the flavors we mixed it up among a couple different sauces, they were a hit. The kids size mac and cheese for $6 is more than enough and the coconut cream pie for dessert well.... We basically fought for the spoon!!!

Nice outdoor setting. Food was good. Some of the items are smoked. Tables with fire pit are excellent. Live music on weekend nights.

This is one of the best BBQ places I've found in Reno-Tahoe. Portions are good sized and the sweet tea fried chicken and brisket were amazing. Mac n cheese wasn't stellar and they got something wrong with almost every order but our server was great and fixed everything super fast. Would definitely come back.

Service is excellent. Chicken wings are out of the world delicious. Restroom is accessible and clean. Music is adequate. Easy location. Price reasonable.

Food comes in adequate serving. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very affordable. My family loves everything! The place is located adjacent to Marriott Timber Lodge Hotel. Will come back here for next year's summer visit to South lake Tahoe. 🤣

Rib tastes good with BBQ sauce. The variety of meat is kind of limited. The location is very convenient, which is in the center of south lake tahoe downtown.

Great food and drinks live music was a plus

If you're looking for great BBQ this is the place. Full size smoker with the brisket in overnight the way it should be. Great outdoor area for families and drinks with live music. Food and service is excellent from start to finish. This is one of me and the wife's new favorite places in South Lake. Can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time in this place. We liked the superb vibes and the meals. The waiters were very amiable. I am happy we eventually managed to visit this spot.

Out door setting is very pleasant. Tri-tip Sandwich was horrible - meat was dry and tasteless, as if it was over cooked, frozen and heated up in a microwave.

Had to come back to try their Beef Brisket and it was worth the drive from Carson!! Very tender and very tasty!! Good BBQ!!
